Called here over a month ago but only just got round the a review.On my way from Shipley, to as far as I could manage cycling on the canal, I stopped for elevenses, coffee and a lovely cake.Continued on the ride past Nelson and called for a late lunch here on the way back, so twice in one day, so it must be good:)Some soft drinks (it was a hot day) and a ham sandwich.Really struck by how friendly and helpful the staff were, it makes such a difference.Icecream looks lovely, maybe I'll try that too next time.

Great food and a decent cup of Yorkshire tea. Next to a small car park and beside Greenberfield Locks, this is a super place to stop, grab something to eat and drink, and site beside the Leeds & Liverpool canal. It is very close to the top lock so watching boats going up and down in the locks is also an option. Staff were very friendly and willing to have a chat about anything.

A very nice freshly prepared sausage sandwich. New owners have provided more extensive menu and brightened up the chalet in new colours. Picnic tables just by the canal lock in a rural setting.13 November.Very disappointed to find it closed.

We stopped for breakfast after the top lock and had a great meal. Very accommodating, top quality ingredients and smiling faces.The choice of cafe and ice cream is worth a visit too.

Newly opened, great coffee… probably the best I’ve had recently. Pricing is a bit whacky, but mostly good value, everything we’ve had has been excellent and we’ve been a few times :)

What a great little spot. They have a great selection of drinks and cakes. And lots of ice cream including a new vegan one that I had on my most recent visit (dairy free options only for me unfortunately). They have lovely attentive staff who serve with smile son their faces :) there is a shelter area of seating along with some picnic benches by the grass. So glad it is back open. Great job and long may it continue :)
